The economic analysis results of the explosion stainless steel clad plate relative to the pure stainless steel plate:
(1) When the design temperature is less than 400 degree , the thickness critical point of pure stainless steel is not much different. When the temperature exceeds 400 degree , the thickness critical point will be greatly improved. The reason is that the allowable stress of carbon steel material decreases by nearly half when the temperature is from 400 to 450 degree , while the allowable stress of stainless steel material does not decrease significantly at this time.
(2) When the price of stainless steel is high, the critical point of thickness is lower than when the price of stainless steel is low. The reason is that the proportion of explosion cost in the cost of stainless steel material decreases, so the critical point of thickness is low.
(3) Different cladding thicknesses also have an influence on the curve. When the cladding thickness increases, the critical point of pure stainless steel thickness increases as a whole under the same conditions. The reason is that the cost of cladding materials increases, which increases the overall material cost of the composite board and reduces the economy of the composite board.
